Any quotes within quizzes are based on the King James translation.
Before taking a quiz, you may want to first read the parts of the
Bible associated with the quiz. On the difficult quizzes for various chapters of the Bible, I highly recommend looking up the
answers in the Bible chapter while taking the quiz the first time, and then
later try the quiz without looking up the answers to see if you
remember the answers. This usually helps tremendously.
If
you do not pass the first time, that's OK -- try again! Better
yet, read the Bible Text and try again! The more you take the
quizzes, the more the information will "stick"!
By the way, the quizzes are anonymous. There is no tracking of anyone's scores.
Most of the difficult quizzes are designed for Bible Bowl training. Bible Bowl is a monthly gathering in which the
youth from several congregations test their Bible
knowledge on certain chapters of the Bible. The testing these
children go through is rigorous, and to earn their banners, they must
really know the Text well.
One
thing I have noticed with my children is that taking these quizzes
repeatedly causes them to remember the facts in the quizzes. After two
or three repetitions, they realize that they have learned a whole lot
of facts from
the Bible! However, these quizzes are not necessarily for
children only. =) Adults can benefit from them as well.
